Are you an incoming or current UNI male student who believes in the ideals of having a Sound Mind and Sound Body? Are you looking for a scholarship that recognizes your achievements inside and outside of the classroom? Sigma Phi Epsilon is offering over $1,500 in Balanced Man Scholarships.
The Balanced Man Scholarship rewards students who have shown academic excellence, leadership skills, and a commitment to their health and well-being. At the Iowa Theta Chapter at the University of Northern Iowa, SigEp believes that recognizing students who demonstrate balance and all-around excellence is one way to promote this important idea. We are committed to helping our members develop the skills they need to succeed in the classroom, future careers, and everyday life.
There is no requirement of joining the fraternity in order to be eligible to apply or win the scholarship. The application deadline is July 1 -- take the 5 minutes to apply now!
If you have any questions about the scholarship or the fraternity, please don't hesitate, to contact Jonah Eldridge, our Balanced Man Scholarship Director at jonahe@uni.edu.
Andy Triplett is one of only six members of our SigEp UNI Hall of Fame. He passed away too young in 2009 in his early 30s; we honor him as our namesake for our Balanced Man Scholarship. Andy was a balanced man; smart, kind, a leader, technically gifted, and creative. He was a guy who got things done. Our Balanced Man Scholarship applicants are a lot like Andy: multi-talented, men of character, leaders, and guys who make things happen. Applying for the Andy Triplett Memorial Balanced Man Scholarship serves as a credit to both the applicant and the memory of our esteemed Brother, Andy Triplett.
