How has the SigEp experience impacted your life outside of college?
“During my time in Iowa Theta, I made friends that I still speak with on a weekly basis. The connections I made even outside of the chapter and from volunteering has formed a long-lasting connection of friends.”
How has SigEp set you up for success?
“It taught me how to be effective in every social situation. I know how to have conversations with various groups to be organized to manage time. I still use this skill in my current position when talking with clients.”
What moment made you proudest to be a SigEp?
“When we won our first Buchanon Cup again, after a brief dry spell, at Grand Chapter Conclave in 2015. I attended as an alumnus that year and was so proud of the work we had done to turn the chapter around pay off.”
Favorite SigEp Memory
“My junior year I rounded up some brothers and we did a road trip to watch Syracuse play UNI. On the trip, we stayed at SigEp houses at night and we even were able to visit Canada and Lake Michigan on our way back. We skipped class on Monday for the trip but it was such a great memory.”
Fondest Brotherhood Memory
“I remember we use to get a small group of like four or five SigEps together and go to Village Inn every week after chapter meetings on Sundays. We viewed it as a ‘mini-fraternity’ and called it Tri-Pie. We went so much that the waitress knew our name and memorized our pie order!”
